Our client is a boutique interior design firm based in Naples, FL specializing in high-end residential design projects, known for creating luxurious, meticulously crafted spaces. They are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Interior Design to oversee their design department and act as the principal’s right hand in driving project excellence and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Department Leadership & Management : Oversee and manage our design department (currently 3-4 people), fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Demonstrate strong leadership and team-building skills, ensuring the department runs smoothly and that deadlines are met.
• Project Flow Management : Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and manage the flow of tasks across multiple projects to maintain timelines and uphold the firm’s high standards.
• Client & Stakeholder Engagement : Act as a primary point of contact with clients, architects, and other stakeholders. You’ll provide a seamless experience from initial meetings through project completion, upholding the firm's reputation for excellence.
• Proposal Development & New Client Meetings : Assist the principal in new client meetings, proposal generation, and project scoping, ensuring that proposals are accurately aligned with client goals and expectations.
• Design Leadership : Exhibit strong design capabilities, stepping in to lead projects as needed. Provide creative input, review work, and guide design decisions to ensure the aesthetic and functional integrity of all projects.
• Construction Knowledge : Bring an in-depth understanding of construction and material specifications to oversee technical design aspects, ensuring feasibility and adherence to best practices.

Qualifications:

• Experience : Minimum of 15 years in interior design (20 years preferred) with significant experience in high-end residential projects.
• Certification : Mandatory ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) certification.
• Software Proficiency : Expertise in CAD, PowerPoint, and Excel. Familiarity with Studio Designer is highly desirable.
• Skills : Exceptional communication and leadership skills. Ability to manage client relationships and team dynamics while ensuring design and project execution excellence.
