Princeton Search Partners is partnering with a leading manufacturer in the Building Materials industry looking for a Sales Rep - Contractor. Looking for a person to cover West Region and East Region. Open on location, prefer near a major airport.
Our client is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to join our team, focusing on sales to contractor accounts. This remote role will emphasize direct sales of our products, such as acoustical underlayment’s and gypsum concrete products, serving as the primary contact for contractors in the designated region. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing and nurturing relationships with contractors, and strategically expanding our contractor-focused product reach.
Responsibilities for this role are the following:
- Contractor Account Management: Build and strengthen relationships with contractor accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Product Training: Train and educate contractors and subcontractors on product offerings, focusing on product benefits, installation best practices, and value propositions.
- Independent Rep Support: Collaborate with independent sales representatives within the designated geography to provide guidance, support, and training on contractor-focused products.
- Business Development: Identify and develop new contractor accounts that align with the company’s growth plans, focusing on expanding market share in key regions.
- Relationship Building with Developers and GCs: Develop relationships with multifamily and commercial developers, general contractors, and key stakeholders to drive product adoption and sales opportunities.
- Specification Creation: Work to create more specifications for product offerings with key architectural and consultant contacts, increasing brand presence in key projects.
- Job Site Visits: Conduct calls and on-site visits to contractors and subcontractors to promote product awareness, offer technical support, and generate leads for contractor projects.
Ideally will have the following requirements :
- Proven track record in sales, particularly in the building materials or construction industry, with experience selling to contractors.
- Ability to work independently and remotely while being an effective team player.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Experience working with independent sales reps and training external sales teams or contractors.
- Willingness to travel regionally as needed to support accounts, conduct trainings, and make on-site calls.
- Proficient in using CRM systems and other sales-related tools.
