About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated mental health therapist (potentially 2 positions available) to join our multidisciplinary team at the Guide Behavioral Health Treatment Center. As a team member of our clinical staff, you will have the opportunity to work with adolescents, young adults, and families.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting semi-structured clinical assessments, providing individual and group clinical interventions, providing educational workshops to groups and families, and have a passion for helping adolescents and young adults.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside a developing team of clinicians and contribute to our growing organization. Our program provides evidence-based, age-specific treatment for mental health and substance use issues.
Responsibilities
- Conduct semi-structured clinical assessments and provide individual, family, group, and/or multi-family therapy.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to adolescents, young adults, and families.
- Executes a treatment plan with observable and measurable goals, utilizing promising and evidenced-based or other best practices such as CBT, DBT, Trauma Focused CBT, EMDR, or other somatic and best practices.
- Assists individuals and families in assessing strengths and needs, and helps them to identify additional strategies and community resources to meet these needs.
- As needed, provides case management services in the interest of youth and family advocacy.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field; clinical license, and registered in the State of California with the Board of Behavioral Sciences - AMFT, APCC, ACSW, LMFT, LPCC, LCSW
- Experience integrating cultural humility and providing services to diverse populations.
Preferred qualifications:
- CA mental health licensure strongly preferred
- 1 year of experience providing mental health services as a direct service provider
- Experience in IOP setting
- Trained in DBT, EMDR, and/or other evidence-based holistic, somatic practices.
- Counseling experience with groups and families

Work Schedule
Late-afternoon, evening hours required to start as a contract therapist. As clients increase, full-time with benefits available.
Sign-on Bonus
