Helicopter Pilot at Med-Trans Corporation summary: The Helicopter Pilot is responsible for the maintenance and inspection of rotor wing aircraft, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards. This full-time role involves performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on helicopters, managing inventory, and traveling to various bases for on-site support. Qualified candidates need a valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License and relevant helicopter maintenance experience to deliver high-quality service in emergency medical and transport operations. Job Description: A&P Float Mechanic - Rotor Wing IMMEDIATELY HIRING A&P FLOAT MECHANIC - ROTOR WING FULL-TIME Opportunity in New Mexico $62,705-$91,455 (starting pay) Depending on experience Schedule: 10 days on/10 days off $10,000 Sign-on AND $10,400 stipend Available We are hiring for a Float Mechanic - Rotor Wing to support the daily maintenance of the helicopters across our region. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications to airframes, rotors and appliances. Our Field Maintenance team maintains our helicopters to the highest standards possible. This is a full-time travel position, traveling via air and ground to assigned work locations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES Provide on-site maintenance support for our fleet of Bell 407, 407 GXI series helicopters Maintain the aircraft Schedule aircraft maintenance Manage base inventory Maintain the base library and company owned ground support equipment Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Education, Certifications and Licensing High School diploma or GED equivalent Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License Inspection Authorization Certification preferred Additional FAA/FCC ratings preferred Three years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience with A minimum of six months helicopter maintenance experience during that last 24 months Must be able to push and/or pull 100 lbs. Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. Intermediate-level computer skills with an inventory system IFR helicopter avionics and auto-pilot experience preferred Manufacturer training or equivalent on Bell 407, 407 GXI preferred Bell 407, 407 GXI maintenance experience preferred Prior civilian HEMS experience preferred WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Travel between Portales NM, Clovis NM and Plainview TX bases to support maintenance needs is required GUIDING VALUES AND BEHAVIORS Employee must consistently exhibit our guiding principles: • Patient Care - We continually earn the privilege to care for our patients.
