Procurement and Logistics Specialist Job Details:

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Pay Rate: up to $25/hr paid weekly!

Procurement and Logistics Specialist Job Description:

• Act as the primary point of contact between city departments and external vendors, ensuring clear and effective communication to facilitate timely procurement and delivery.
• Oversee and monitor the procurement process from initial quote requests to final delivery, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout.
• Process requisitions and collaborate with the finance department to manage invoice payments in a timely and compliant manner.
• Monitor recurring projects, such as hardware replacement initiatives, to ensure equipment is procured and delivered according to schedule.
• Ensure all procurement-related documentation is complete, accurate, and properly filed for record-keeping and audit purposes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to streamline procurement processes and resolve issues effectively.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in procurement and logistics workflows, contributing to overall departmental efficiency.

Procurement and Logistics Specialist Job Requirements:

• Proven experience in procurement, logistics, or a related role, preferably in a public sector.
• Extensive experience using Microsoft Outlook and Excel, with a strong ability to manage emails, create and analyze spreadsheets, and utilize these tools for efficient communication and tracking.
• Working experience with New World ERP or similar enterprise resource planning systems.
• Highly organized with the ability to monitor inboxes, respond to inquiries in a timely manner, and prioritize tasks based on delivery deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain vendor relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring accuracy and compliance in procurement and financial processes.
• Must be willing to undergo a background test and pre-employment drug screening.
