Position Overview:
We are seeking a Patient Intake Associate for a temporary assignment to help support a project with our Clinical Operations team. The Temporary Patient Intake Associate will play a critical role in supporting the intake and administrative processes within the organization. This position is responsible for managing and entering patient information into the electronic medical record system accurately and efficiently, reviewing and updating patient demographics, and performing a variety of administrative tasks. The role also involves reviewing and interpreting Power of Attorney (POA) paperwork to ensure compliance and accuracy. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to maintain a high level of confidentiality while working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Schedule: Full-Time 40 hours/week. Anticipated duration of role 4-6 months.
Location: Remote (must be located in one of the Bluestone Markets - Minnesota, Wisconsin or Florida)
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze a variety of documents including legal Health Care Power of Attorney documents. Provide accurate data entry into our electronic health record (EHR) systems and Portal platforms. Strictly adhere to regulatory compliance guidelines.

Qualifications:
Education/Certification/Experience
  • Medical terminology and/or healthcare experience preferred but not required
  • Electronic Health Records (EHR) system experience preferred but not required
  • Current student or recent graduate with an interest in healthcare or compliance
  • Must be 18 years of age
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Computer proficiency including ability to navigate electronic medical records system, Google Business Suite, and equipment
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Extreme attention to detail, follow-through, and commitment to quality
  • Detail oriented and accurate
  • Collaborates effectively within team settings with clinical and non-clinical staff
  • Ability to deal with change and ambiguity
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of patient charts
  • Understanding of the broad needs of healthcare information (data security, HIPAA, PHI, etc)
  • Work independently and proactively to meet company goals and timelines with minimal direction/supervision
  • Effective and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer proficient, 55+ WPM typing
  • Skilled in identifying and resolving problems
  • Demonstrated compatibility with Bluestone's purpose, core focus, and core values
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
