We are currently seeking an experienced Permanent Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. Our ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a proven track record in maintaining and improving the performance and longevity of our state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment. This position requires a hands-on approach and a deep understanding of food production equipment, automation, and robotics. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

As a Permanent Maintenance Technician, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Performing routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of food production equipment, packaging equipment, sealing machines, labelers, and scanners.
2. Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues on conveyors and robotics.
3. Utilizing PLC troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and rectify electrical and automation problems.
4. Implementing Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure the safety of all staff during machine servicing and repair.
5. Regularly inspecting machinery and equipment to identify any issues that may need attention or repair.
6. Collaborating with the production team to coordinate maintenance and repair work.
7. Participating in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment.
8. Keeping accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
9. Staying current with the latest technologies and techniques in the manufacturing industry.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Permanent Maintenance Technician position, you must possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the Manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience with food production equipment, automation, and robotics.
3. Solid understanding of mechanical troubleshooting, conveyors, packaging equipment, sealing machines, labelers, and scanners.
4. Demonstrated ability in PLC troubleshooting and LOTO procedures.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly under pressure.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
7. A commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
8. The ability to lift and move heavy equipment and machinery.
9. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
10. A technical degree or certification in a relevant field is preferred.
