Sentara Health is currently hiring a part-time, Radiology Services Coordinatorto support Sentara Independence in Virginia Beach, VA

Schedule: Part-Time, 24 hours per week. Variable hours during the day and rotating Saturdays. Closed Sundays and major holidays

In this role you will:

  • Responsible for the order entry process, communication and guest relations, medical record maintenance/analysis

  • Responsible for transporting, lifting, positioning of patients, and various non-technical/clerical duties

  • Demonstrates competency in the operation of radiologic systems for the management and transfer of digital images to complex media and converting images on film to digital formats

Job Requirements:

  • Education :High School Grad or Equivalent

  • Experience : Medical Assistants and Medical Administrative Assistants will be considered with a minimum of 3 years experience in a medical environment preferred.

Sentara Independence, an outpatient campus now aligned with the quality physicians and services at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital, provides you local, convenient access to outpatient services including:

  • Emergency Care - Open 24/7, the free-standing Emergency Department will be physicians you have come to know and trust. If your needs require staffed by the same high quality, board-certified emergency a more intense level of care, our skilled staff will provide stabilizing treatment and transfer you to the nearest appropriate hospital.
  • Advanced Imaging - In addition to the large bore MRI, the center will continue to offer CT, x-Ray, digital mammography other diagnostic imaging services.
  • Lab Services - Sentara Independence will be supported by an experienced team of laboratory professionals who utilize the system's standardized approach to lab management to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Infusion Services -A team of registered nurses areon hand to provide infusion and transfusion services.
  • Physical Therapy - A range of quality physical therapy and rehabilitation services will be available at our center furnished with state of the art equipment for evaluation and treatment of various musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
  • Sleep Disorders Center - The Sentara Sleep Center gives you access to highly skilled physicians and sleep specialists who have years of experience diagnosing and treating sleep disorders.
  • Cardiology Services - Echocardiography, Holter Monitoring, and Event Monitoringare supported by a team of registered sonographers.
