Position Summary: The Commercial Roofing Sales Estimator will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates, and nurturing relationships with clients. This role requires both sales expertise and technical proficiency in roofing systems to drive successful project outcomes and client satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate New Business: Prospect, qualify, and cultivate leads to create new business opportunities within the commercial roofing market.
  • Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to gather project information and prepare competitive proposals.
  • Identify and qualify project bidding opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of client needs, delivering tailored roofing solutions.
  • Prepare comprehensive project estimates, including materials, labor, and other costs.
  • Present project proposals to clients, addressing any questions and securing approvals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, including property managers and building owners.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and best practices to adapt sales strategies effectively.
  • Support ongoing projects to ensure client satisfaction from initiation to close-out.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and project management systems.
  • Act as a liaison to ensure a seamless handoff between the sales and operations teams.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in commercial roofing sales.
  • Proficiency in reading architectural drawings, specifications, and conducting project takeoffs.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to self-generate leads through networking and prospecting.
  • Experience with estimating software and CRM tools; familiarity with BlueBeam, Sage/TimberLine is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client visits.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders and perform job site evaluations as needed.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Experience in both commercial and residential roofing.
