Kelly is hiring a RD&A Technician for one of our clients in Beloit, WI

• Pay: $23/hr
• Temp to hire
• M-F 8am-5pm

Responsibilities

• Assist scientists with weighing up ingredients for lab testing and pilot plant production.

• Assist scientists with making formulas in the lab.

• Support pilot plant production runs on a variety of processing equipment.

o Sauce/dairy product equipment

o Dry blending

• Support daily lab activities such as pH probe calibration, dishwasher startup/shut down, and freezer startup/shut down.

• Maintain lab common stock ingredients inventory.

• Support general lab organization by:

o Ordering lab supplies, sample storage and shipping materials, etc.

o Organizing lab, cooler, and freezer cleanouts

o Putting away dishes

• Ability to learn and run specialized lab equipment: Brookfield viscometer, Bostwick, pH probe, homogenizer.

• Submit analytical requests for product testing.

General Skills

• Accurately weigh ingredients.

• Strong organizational skills & willingness to help others

• Self-motivated with good time management

• Good communication skills and ability to work across multiple teams.

• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

• Must be able to taste and smell chemicals, flavors, and food products.

• Science background or experience in food, laboratory, or similar environment is a bonus.
