Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant with experience in personal injury law to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting attorneys with various tasks associated with case preparation, litigation, and client management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Organize and maintain detailed case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
  • Document Preparation: Draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and correspondence related to personal injury cases.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on case progress, answering inquiries, and gathering necessary documentation.
  • Medical and Insurance Coordination: Communicate with medical providers, insurance companies, and other third parties to gather evidence, medical records, and other relevant case information.
  • Legal Research: Assist attorneys with research on legal precedents, statutes, and case law as they relate to personal injury claims.
  • Trial Support: Assist in trial preparation by preparing exhibits, coordinating witness testimony, and managing evidence for court hearings.
  • Scheduling and Deadlines: Coordinate appointments, hearings, depositions, and meetings while ensuring all legal deadlines are met.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a legal assistant, preferably in personal injury law.
  • Strong understanding of personal injury law and legal procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in legal software, document management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
