This Attorney will be supporting a Shareholder in our Dallas office who specializes in and represents virtually all constituencies in bankruptcy proceedings. He has served as lead debtor’s counsel in bankruptcy cases across a wide variety of industries, and regularly represents Chapter 7 trustees, landlords and creditors in matters across the country. and handles the full spectrum of bankruptcy litigation matters.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate a thorough understanding of bankruptcy and insolvency law, legal research, and client representation
- This role requires excellent drafting and negotiation skills, coupled with the ability to manage multiple cases effectively
- Extensive experience and a strong background in bankruptcy law
- Proficiency in legal research using tools like Westlaw or similar platforms
- Demonstrated ability to draft legal documents and negotiate settlements
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for resolving complex legal issues
- Solid understanding of insolvency law and related legal areas
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the state of Texas
- Admitted to the Texas State Bar (required)
- Expert in legal research, particularly in bankruptcy and insolvency law
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to represent clients effectively
- Proficient in drafting legal documents including contracts, pleadings, and agreements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
