Job Title: Staff Pharmacist

Start Date: 12/16/2024

Location: Newbury, MA 01922 (Onsite)

Duration: 3 months contract

Schedule: Week one only 9-530 M-F for training

Five days M-F, 2 shifts 9-5:30 ; 3 shifts 12:30-9

OR

Four days M-F, 1 shift 9-7:30 ; 3 shifts 10:30-9

Generally, no weekends, but may have occasional weekend work (but granted weekday off in exchange)

NOTE: These positions will be fully onsite at the Byfield, MA location - candidates must be locally sourced. The office will be moving to Newburyport, MA within the few months.

Job Description:

• Interprets physicians' prescriptions and compounds and dispenses medications within regulatory guidelines.

• Consults with customers regarding use of medications and potential drug interactions.

• Counsels’ customers and handles complex problem resolution.

• Performing first and second verification of prescription orders, performing DUR’s , outreach to prescriber offices.

• Fielding phone calls from patients as well as prescriber’s offices.

Skills:

• Accurate, efficient and excellent customer service skills.

• At least one year as a registered pharmacist, retail or similar experience preferred.

• Retail Background preferred vs Hospital or Clinical exp.

• No Compounding functions expected but MUST have patient advisory (usually on the phone), i. e: advising on medications etc.

Education:

• Requires a RPh license.

• The candidate should have a Pharm D or bachelors in Pharmacy AND licensed in MA.

• PharmD is a plus but not required
