Paralegal - Global Renewable Investment Company

The ideal candidate will have proven paralegal experience, specific to transactional support and work directly with a range of functions including Development, Origination, Finance and Corporate. Construction, Regualtory and Operations. The candidate will be proactive and able to operate with a high degree of autonomy and report to the Head of Legal USA.

Paralegal - Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and review of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and regulatory filings related to real estate, land acquision and energy development
• Maintain closing files for various corporate and real estate transactions; compile closing sets/checklists and assist with transaction closings
• Coordinate review of title, surveys, real property records, and other real estate due diligence; coordinate with title companies regarding title commitment matters
• Provide risk and compliance support to maintain effective compliance and monitoring policies and protocols; track regulatory developments to provide compliance updates and reports
• Assist the Development team to monitor and track terms and conditions under active contracts including obligations, deadlines, renewal dates, payment dates, etc

Qualifications:

• Experience working in a legal environment, preferably at a large law firm or in-house
• Familiarity with energy markets and real estate development. Familiarity with renewable energy development is a bonus
• Strong drafting, research, communication, and organizational skills
• An active notary license is a bonus.
