My client, with offices in Downtown Miami, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Litigation Paralegal with personal injury experience to lead their legal team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in delegating and managing personal injury cases. This role requires a strong understanding of legal case management and document management systems, as well as the ability to navigate complex legal documents with precision. The Senior Litigation Paralegal will play a crucial role in supporting and managing the day to day office case load among 8 case managers currently in place.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions by organizing case files and evidence.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on various issues related to Tribal law regulations and other relevant areas.
- Draft, proofread, and file legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Manage case calendars and deadlines to ensure timely filings and compliance with court rules.
- Collaborate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather necessary information for cases.
- Maintain organized records of all case-related documents using document management systems.
- Support the preparation of discovery materials and responses to discovery requests.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may impact ongoing cases.
Experience
- Proven experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in a litigation environment is essential.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures related to personal injury case management
- Proficiency in using document management systems and legal case management software.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Exceptional proofreading skills to ensure accuracy in all written materials.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
