Our challenge

We are seeking a talented and motivated Java Developer with COBOL programming skills to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications that integrate Java and COBOL technologies, ensuring high performance, reliability, and user satisfaction.


The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain high-quality applications utilizing both Java and COBOL programming languages.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Analyze and modernize existing COBOL applications to enhance performance and maintainability.
  • Implement best practices for coding, testing, and deployment to ensure robust application functionality.
  • Integrate back-end services with front-end components and APIs.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide guidance to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, applying them to enhance development processes.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues reported by users or found during testing.
  • Document development processes, code changes, and technical specifications.


Requirements:

You are:

  • Proven experience as a Java Developer with a strong background in COBOL programming.
  • Proficient in Java frameworks and tools, with a solid understanding of COBOL language and mainframe technologies.
  • Familiar with RESTful API development and integration.
  • Experienced with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


It would be great if you also had:

  • Experience in the Fintech or Banking domain.
