Production Supervisor (Dairy)

Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the reception of raw materials (e.g., milk). Ensure proper sampling and quality testing.
- Oversee the skimming, pasteurization, and concentration processes to ensure optimal operation of equipment and adherence to production schedules.
- Monitor critical control points and ensure compliance with all food safety and quality standards.
- Maintain a close partnership with the cross functional team within the plant.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., quality control, maintenance) to ensure a smooth workflow and timely product output.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of operators, ensuring they follow proper operational procedures and safety protocols.
- Ensure all products meet required specifications and quality standards, including temperature, composition, and texture.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness among staff, ensuring the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations in the plant, ensuring the safe operation of all equipment.
- Continuously monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of food manufacturing experience is strongly preferred
- 2+ Dairy experience, with preference in Raw Milk
- Hold a valid pasteurizer operator license or able to complete within 6 months of employment
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required
- Strong computer skills including MS Office
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of main dairy process equipment (HTST, Separators, Membrane Systems, CIP) is required
- Knowledge of continuous improvement systems (Lean, six sigma, 5M, Pareto, PDCA...)
- Knowledge of FDA and USDA Regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours depending on business needs (the schedule is expected to be 12 hours rotating)
