If this describes you, please read on! Among the current openings, we’re on the lookout for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support UAV production both in Wilmington MA and in Torrance CA. Ideally, this candidate should have several years of experience supporting the production of electromechanical assemblies, however, an eager mechanical engineer with an interest in production could also be a good fit. This candidate should be a roll-up-your-sleeves, highly efficient, collaborative professional. This is a full-time position based in our Wilmington, Massachusetts headquarters. Domestic and possibly international travel may be required.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own Production Engineering: Create, review and maintain engineering drawings and assembly instructions
- Provide Technical Support: Work with vendors to resolve technical questions. Work closely with Ascent’s production teams to troubleshoot production challenges.
- Improve Production Processes: Work with Ascent’s production teams to help increase efficiency and reliability.
- Create Prototype Parts : Support Ascent’s Technology team by sourcing and creating prototype parts and tooling.
- Transition Prototypes to Production : Work with Ascent’s Technology and Production teams to move products from prototype to production.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline focused on mechanical assemblies and manufacturing.
- Expertise in common manufacturing methods such as CNC milling and injection molding
- Comfortable reading and creating technical drawings and documents
- Familiar with a CAD software such as SolidWorks
- Organized Thinker: You can track and manage multiple efforts.
- Owns Responsibilities: You feel a sense of ownership towards your responsibilities and take pride in mastering them.
COMPENSATION
This position is expected to include a base salary between $100K and $130K.
