Position Overview:
Pride Lending is seeking a highly organized and tech-savvy Junior Loan Processor to support our Loan Officers and Senior Processors in managing loan files from origination to closing. This entry-level role is perfect for someone with an interest in loan processing or mortgage lending who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. The Junior Processor will handle a variety of tasks such as managing communication with title companies, insurance agents, and clients, ensuring files remain on track for closing, and maintaining accuracy in all documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
•File Management & Updates: Maintain accurate and timely updates on loan files using LendingPad and Dropbox. Ensure all fees and documentation are correct.
•Communication: Act as a liaison between Loan Officers, title companies, insurance agents, and clients. Keep Senior Processors and Loan Officers cc'd on all important communications.
•Process Orders & Requests: Request and manage documents from third parties (title companies, insurance agents) and ensure all necessary files are in place for underwriting.
•Timeline Management: Serve as the gatekeeper for deadlines, ensuring files progress smoothly towards closing and meet all deadlines.
•Client Follow-Up: Regularly follow up with clients and borrowers to ensure they understand their loan status and have submitted any necessary documentation.
•Post-Close Audits: Conduct post-closing audits to ensure files are complete and accurate.
•Daily Updates: Monitor email for files approaching closing, sort through title documents and appraisals, and ensure internal pipelines are up-to-date.
•Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure adherence to mortgage guidelines and legal requirements.
•Work with Underwriters: Collaborate closely with underwriters to move files towards closing, addressing any issues that arise and providing updated documentation as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
•Organization & Project Management: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to label and organize files consistently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
•Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with technology, particularly loan processing software (e.g., LendingPad) and document management platforms (e.g., Dropbox).
•Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and third parties.
•Detail-Oriented: Ensures numbers and files are accurate and up-to-date.
•Adaptability: Able to handle constructive criticism, work under high-pressure situations, and adapt to the unique needs of each loan file.
•Licensing: Licensing is not required but is a plus. Pride Lending is open to paying for licensing or continuing education (7 hours federal, 1 hour state) for the right candidate.
