Title: Director of Nursing – LPN or RN

Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire

Setting: Long-term care

Location: St. Louis, MO

Schedule: Full-time 8:30am – 5pm, on-call required

Pay: Competitive based on experience. A full benefits package is included!

The DON duties to include but not limited to:

• Develops, maintains, and implements nursing policies and procedures that conform to current standards of nursing practice, facility philosophy, and operational policies while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws and regulations
• Exercises overall supervision of resident assessments and care plans
• Oversees nursing schedules to assure they meet resident needs and regulatory and budgetary standards; nursing competency testing, and all related records
• Assists the Administrator prepare staff for inspection surveys, instructing staff on matters of conduct and disclosure, being interviewed by inspector, immediate corrections of problems noted by surveyors, etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A clean, active MO/compact license as an RN or LPN
• BLS/CPR required upon hire
• 2 years of professional nursing experience in long-term care setting is required
• Minimum 1-2 years in nursing administration or a comparable management position
