Job Summary
Operates Client GoBus transit vehicle to provide public transportation to passengers traveling to local or distant points throughout Smith County.
Key Responsibilities
•Safely operate transit vehicles while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
•Transport passengers to designated destinations on time and in a courteous manner.
•Assist passengers with boarding, disembarking, and securing mobility devices as needed.
•Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
•Maintain accurate records of trips, including schedules, passenger counts, and incidents.
•Provide excellent customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and concerns.
Required Qualifications
•Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
•Strong knowledge of Smith County routes and local traffic regulations.
•Ability to operate large vehicles safely and confidently.
•Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with passengers effectively.
•Physical ability to assist passengers with mobility challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience as a transit driver or in a similar public transportation role.
•Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
•CPR and First Aid certification.
