This role will oversee patient appointment scheduling, maintain accurate records, and provide administrative support in the imaging department while collaborating with healthcare staff and patients to ensure timely delivery of diagnostic services.What’s In It For You?Competitive Base SalaryComprehensive Benefits PackageHealthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) AvailableThe Opportunity to Support an Innovative and Growing Healthcare OrganizationWhat You’ll Be Responsible For:Collaborating with other departments, such as radiology and patient services, to streamline workflows and enhance the overall patient experience from scheduling to service delivery.Conducting regular performance assessments, constructive feedback and mentorship to foster career development and improve team effectiveness for direct reports.Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure scheduling efficiency, patient satisfaction, and service quality, using these metrics to drive continuous improvements.Exploring and implementing innovative scheduling methodologies, such as open-access scheduling, to increase patient convenience and optimize appointment utilization.Developing outreach strategies to educate patients about the scheduling process, appointment expectations, and available services, enhancing awareness and reducing no-show rates.Leading crisis management efforts during high-demand periods, such as public health emergencies, ensuring that scheduling operations remain responsive and effective.Facilitating conflict resolution between patients and staff, promoting a positive and respectful environment while addressing concerns promptly and effectively.The Ideal Candidate:Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., health services research, health/business administration, health sciences).2+ years of experience in an administrative role.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Word).Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with proven experience in engaging stakeholders across different levels.Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet competing deadlines.Proficient in preparing and reviewing detailed reports and project documentation with accuracy.Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment as well as demonstrate independence, using critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Complimentary Experience:Previous experience in a hospital is considered an asset.If you have the qualifications and are interested in applying for this position, please forward a copy of your resume to Executive Search and Workplace Solutions is committed to providing accessible employment practices that follow the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and the Ontario Human Rights Code.
