Perks!Competitive salaryPaid day off on your birthdayExcellent benefit package with premiums paid by the companyRRSP MatchTool and boot allowance + safety wearSafety-minded organizationStable, year-round employment with overtime availableContinuous training, learning and development opportunitiesFun-loving work environment with strong social responsibilityWhat You’ll Be DoingDuties and Responsibilities:Install, inspect, repair and maintain gas lines and gas equipment such as meters, regulators and heating units in residential, commercial and industrial establishments.Testing and replacing defective equipmentAdvising clients on safety features and maintenance of gas unitsConsiderable knowledge of designing and installing temporary heating systems at construction sites using natural gas, propane and diesel equipmentMust have knowledge of temporary heaters; direct and indirect fired, hydronic, electrical etc.Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, service and repair a variety of heating equipment in the shop or fieldStrong knowledge of the safety regulations, codes and practices regarding LP/NG use, equipment servicing, permitting and installation at construction sitesThe ability to read/understand building and mechanical plans, job specifications and other technical documents is an assetHighly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to converse with a wide variety of customers and internal resourcesWhat You’ll Bring to the TeamQualifications and Requirements:Journeyperson Gas Fitter with A or B ticket3-5 five years’ experience; ideally in the construction / equipment rental industry (or a related field)Valid driver’s license with abstract in good standingFlexibility; must be comfortable with managing and adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environmentExcellent problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills with the ability to converse with colleagues, customers, and other parties in a professional mannerSelf-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervisionWilling to work overtime when requiredPride in what you do!Want to learn more about this as well as other opportunities at Cooper?
