We are currently looking for a Maintenance Planner to join our team.
The Maintenance Planner will proactively support daily operations to ensure line production equipment is maintained and repaired to meet scheduled production targets and minimize production downtime.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement effective maintenance planning methods to maximize operating efficiency while maintaining Food Quality Standards.
- Schedule, track, and evaluate preventative maintenance to plant equipment.
- Manage maintenance data collection and information gathering by analyzing data for improvements to equipment.
- Participate in the implementation of preventative maintenance applications and software.
- Establish, maintain, and improve the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling business flow process.
- Scope the full extent of maintenance work needed to conduct the relevant repair/preventative/predictive activities of all facilities equipment.
- Develop cost and time estimates of planned maintenance work.
- Work with production scheduling to schedule downtime to complete in-week and weekend PM’s that provide the most effective production and maintenance outcomes.
- Purchase all necessary parts, equipment, services, and documentation to perform the maintenance work.
- Monitor PM completeness and schedule/reschedule accordingly to achieve 100% completion.
- Schedule and assist contractors.
- Develop and track a process for shutdown/slowdown PM’s.
- Review high usage components and present solutions to implement usage reductions.
- Review completed PM’s and inventory with an emphasis on reducing inventory while ensuring the right parts are available when needed.
- Develop and maintain maintenance procedures.
- Ensure Key Performance Indicators are captured and reported for equipment reliability, maintenance department performance and planning.
- Collaborate with maintenance supervision to Suggest and implement PM Improvements.
- Assist with Capital/Continuous Improvement projects to meet project timing and deliverables.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Engineering degree, OR Completion of Industrial Mechanical Millwright College Diploma and/or related field and/or a minimum of 5 years in a related work experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a Maintenance Planning function
- Ability to work a variety of work schedules, including rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
