Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you are highly organized and detail oriented. This position is fulltime and located in the Toronto area. You will have the opportunity to get exposure to various stages of design and construction of manufacturing and light industrial process plants.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with project managers and engineers on various design projects to ensure project goals, timelines, and specifications are met.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to produce fully integrated and seamless designs.
- Contribute to the design of new manufacturing processes or modifications to existing systems, covering areas such as ingredient handling, tempering, baking, cooling, packaging, power distribution, utilities, and more.
- Develop detailed, accurate designs that align with industry standards and safety protocols.
- Perform AutoCAD and Revit design work to develop comprehensive models and layouts.
- Ensure design accuracy and detail, integrating different system components for a cohesive final product.
- Visit construction sites to conduct field reviews, capturing critical details through photos, notes, and field review reports.
- Document and communicate site findings to the project team, incorporating feedback into design revisions as necessary.
- Stay current with industry advancements, new tools, and technologies to enhance design practices.
- Actively seek to learn new skills daily, applying them to improve processes, designs, and project outcomes.
REQUIREMENTS
- AutoCAD and or Revit skills and the ability to follow CAD standards
- Good communication skills
- Quick learner, curious attitude, and willingness to accept coaching and feedback.
- Ability to read P&IDs and construction drawings
- Food manufacturing experience (Preferred)
- Organized and can adhere to set standards for design and filing of documents and quality checking of work.
- Valid driver’s license (Preferred)
