Job Title: Performance Engineer

Location: Hybrid – 3 days/week in Morris Plains, NJ


In this role you will work on a dynamic team for a Fortune15 health insurance company as a

Performance Engineer. You will play a key role in contributing to critical projects that ensure the

performance, scalability, and reliability of the Workers’ Compensation applications.

As a Performance Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing

performance tests, identifying bottlenecks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to

optimize system performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement performance testing strategies to evaluate application scalability,

reliability, and responsiveness.

  • Utilize performance testing tools such as NeoLoad and JMeter to create, execute, and

analyze performance tests.

  • Develop and maintain Python scripts for performance test automation, data processing,

and result analysis.

  • Identify performance bottlenecks and provide recommendations for optimization.
  • Collaborate with software development, DevOps, and QA teams to troubleshoot

performance issues.

  • Conduct root cause analysis for performance-related problems and implement

resolutions.

  • Provide detailed test reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering OR equivalent relevant experience
  • 2+ years of enterprise experience in a performance engineering position
  • Proven experience in performance engineering and software testing.
  • Hands-on expertise with NeoLoad and JMeter for performance testing.
  • Proficient in Python scripting for test automation and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
  • Familiarity with monitoring and profiling tools (e.g., Dynatrace, New Relic, or

AppDynamics).
