Software Engineer

6-month contract to hire

Seattle, WA

Hybrid (2 days a week)


Job Summary:

As a member of our Cloud Applications team, you will lead and collaborate on projects to build out highly scalable, high-volume, and performant, healthcare data integration and data processing services. You will build solutions targeted for Microsoft Azure or Salesforce deployments. The ideal candidate will be a strong coder who is passionate about quality and security, experienced in highly available cloud solutions, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, document, and implement engineering solutions both individually and as part of a team.
  • Hands on full stack coding including front-end, back-end microservices, databases, cloud infrastructure, and test automation.
  • Produce high-quality code by creating and executing test plans, utilizing test automation, leveraging static analysis, and participating in code reviews.
  • Utilize Secure by Design development practices.
  • Create threat models.
  • Conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
  • Analyze engineering challenges and develop solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews for quality, security, and maintainability.



Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in software engineering
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Experience in full stack development front-end, back-end microservices, database, cloud infrastructure, and test automation.
  • Experience working in an Agile development process.
  • Experience with Black Box, White Box, and automated testing frameworks
  • Experience with Threat Modelling.
  • Experience with fully automated CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and best practices
  • Knowledge of design patterns and how to apply them.
  • Experience designing and building highly available Cloud based solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work as part of a team and independently.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands on experience with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience with the healthcare domain.
  • Experience with healthcare data and standards such as HL7 and FHIR
  • Experience C#, Python, Java, and the Selenium testing framework.
  • Experience with building Salesforce applications.
  • Experience with Web Components
  • Experience with Angular
