Job Summary:
Collette is a guided travel company that offers a variety of tours to destinations across seven continents. We are growing fast and investing in the products that underpin the experience of traveling with us. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Digital Analytics to join our Technology team. This is a new role, reporting to the VP of Product Management, designed to create a data-driven culture within Technology by promoting the use of digital analytics (both for customer facing websites as well as internal tools) and translating complex insights to help Collette build better digital products. As Head of Digital Analytics, you will be leading the charge by developing a strategy for web analytics, lead the most critical analysis for digital roadmap decisions, and evaluating how our products are performing. The ideal candidate will have a mix of technical skills, communication, and leadership ability. Ultimately, we are looking for someone that can grasp opportunities for digital analytics to drive significant improvements in customer experience and help us achieve our business goals.
Primary Functions:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive digital analytics plan aligned with Collette’s product strategy and associated business objectives.
- Select and implement a new web analytics platform to enhance data collection and analysis capabilities.
- Take analytical questions about the impact of our products and develop them into goals, metrics, dashboards, and visualizations to provide actionable insights.
- Coach and mentor product managers to improve their data fluency and ability to define and measure product outcomes and impacts.
- Lead key digital analytics initiatives, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of insights.
- Establish framework to leverage experimentation such as A/B testing in product development lifecycle.
- Proactively identify trends, opportunities, and risks through data analysis and provide strategic recommendations.
- Learn about Collette’s customers and operations to connect the dots between different areas of the business, synthesizing data to tell a coherent story that influences product decision making.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Customer Experience & Insights, Marketing, Revenue, Finance, and Customer Support to identify opportunities for leveraging data.
- Promote a data-driven culture in Technology by educating Product Teams and stakeholders on the value of product analytics.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in digital analytics.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in analytics, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of building and scaling digital analytics in a fast-paced environment.
- Roll up your sleeves mentality
- Strong expertise in analytics tools and technologies (e.g., Web analytics platforms, SQL, Looker Data Studio, Power BI, Google Analytics).
- Experience with web analytics tools (specifically tagging and instrumentation), experimentation, and data visualization best practices.
- Exceptional communication skills – Ability to present complex data with actionable insights to a wide range of audiences from engineers to execs
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
