Role Description

We are looking for an organized and proactive Assistant Construction Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. This role will involve working closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The Assistant Construction Manager will assist in overseeing daily operations on the construction site and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.


Responsibilities

·       Assist in developing and managing construction project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

·       Monitor and track project expenses to ensure they remain within budget; review and approve invoices and manage cost-effective resource utilization.

·       Support the supervision of construction teams, subcontractors, and other on-site personnel, ensuring efficient workflow and clear communication.

·       Assist in maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations.

·       Identify potential risks, such as delays, safety hazards, and budget issues, and take proactive measures to mitigate them.

·       Act as a point of contact for clients, providing project updates and addressing any concerns or queries.

·       Ensure all construction activities are in full compliance with local, state, and federal laws, including safety, environmental, and zoning regulations.

·       Help manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of key milestones and making adjustments to avoid delays.

·       Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, safety logs, change orders, and other essential records.

·       Assist in resolving any on-site conflicts or challenges, ensuring project continuity and timely delivery.


Qualifications and Skills

·       Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

·       Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction management or a similar role.

·       Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and collaborate with diverse teams.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·       Sound knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.

·       Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project).

·       Strong budgeting and financial management skills.

·       Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

·       Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

·       Familiarity with construction industry regulations and compliance standards.

·       Certification such as PMP, LEED, or similar is a plus.

·       Ability to work in field setting and visit job sites, including in varying weather conditions.

·       Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check



Wage & Benefits

This is a full-time hourly position with Competitive pay

Hourly range: $25.00+ (commensurate with experience)
