Acuity Brands, Inc. is hiring a Welder/Fabricator for a full-time role at $26.00 per hour. The position involves welding, fabricating, and assembling aluminum products using handheld welding equipment.

Responsibilities

Adhere to safety programs and production schedules.

Read and interpret blueprints for assembly and welding.

Prepare and tack weld parts; monitor welding processes.

Perform GMAW/MIG Spray Transfer welding with specific settings.

Conduct various welding types (1G, 2G, 3G) daily.

Use specified metal core wire and gas for welding.

Grind and prepare products for painting; inspect final products for quality.

Maintain and clean equipment and work area.

Notify supervisors of faulty equipment or materials.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience: Training and experience in GMAW/MIG and FCAW welding; familiarity with welding machines and tools.

Skills: Ability to read weld symbols and blueprints, excellent comprehension of verbal and written assignments, basic math skills related to welding.

Physical Requirements: Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and work standing for up to 10 hours.

Pay

Compensation is set at $26.00 per hour.
