Summary
The Payroll Associate is responsible for the processing and management of all Time Capture activities and full payroll processing of wages with an overall focus on data collection, data integrity and customer service, while representing professionalism in all interactions with all parties.
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform collection of timecards and record of time data in the payroll system
- Monitor time (regular, overtime & other hours) and attendance against timesheet data and time entry system to ensure correct submissions for the payroll system
- Run reports to identify missing timecard information and/or variances; work with employee to validate and correct timecards
- Confirm all compliance requirements are met to process payment; request missing required data in order to process payment through payroll system
- Manage time adjustment process (in cases of time errors), including completion of required documentation, updates in the system and communications with impacted stakeholders
- Manage and track paid time off (PTO), absence etc.; manage related documentation and system updates
- Support issue resolution regarding payroll matters with a goal of ensuring customer satisfaction and timely resolution, including working closely with employees and program leadership
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality for all payroll related matters
- Promptly escalate complex payroll related inquires and issues to Supervisor for resolution
- Manage timecard and collection audit (including contacting employees and/or program leadership for missing timecards) in PeopleSoft, Time Central and Kronos
- Audit local and state tax setup and weekly payroll wages and taxes
- Support year-end auditing activities including W-2 accuracy, check escheatment process and daily Treasury processes for ACH and Positive Pay resolution
- Run weekly multi-state payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees
- Ensure accuracy of data necessary for payroll processing, including but not limited to employee hours worked, paid time off, deductions and garnishments, bonuses and other additional compensation
- Process off-cycle payroll for variable compensation, expeditated final wages or other required payments
- Ensure compliance with all garnishment and withholdings as required by state and federal agencies; serve as a subject matter expert on payroll compliance
- Process LOA payments
- Ensure all payroll requirements are followed with check processing including state, local and federal taxes, Social Security, unemployment, disability, pay rules, etc.

Job Requirements:
- Associate degree or two years of applicable experience in customer service/payroll environment
- Minimum 1 year experience in a payroll-related position
- Four (4) in-office workdays per week and the option to work remote OR in office on fifth (5th) day
