About the Role

As a Sales Associate at By Maxwell, you will be an integral part of our boutique and salon team, contributing to the overall success of the brand through elevating the By Maxwell experience. This role is perfect for individuals with a passion for fashion, beauty, and exceptional client service. You will have the opportunity to engage with customers, provide personalized styling advice, and create memorable shopping experiences. In addition to driving sales and building client relationships, you will play a key role in maintaining the store’s visual appeal and ensuring seamless daily operations. Lastly, you will serve as a brand ambassador for By Maxwell, actively promoting our unique identity and values both in-store and across social media platforms, while contributing to the growth and energy of our dynamic, fast-paced environment. 


Responsibilities

Selling & Client Service

  • Provide exceptional, personalized service to each client, understanding their unique needs and offering tailored fashion and beauty solutions.
  • Drive sales through expert product knowledge, effective upselling, and cross-selling techniques to meet and exceed store targets.
  • Foster lasting relationships with clients by creating a welcoming and memorable experience, ensuring repeat visits and customer loyalty.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions, ensuring clients feel valued, heard, and appreciated.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the highest standard of customer service is consistently delivered.
  • Actively participate in client feedback sessions, offering insights on how to improve the customer experience and ensure satisfaction.

Brand / Social Media Ambassador

  • Serve as a brand ambassador, embodying the By Maxwell values and aesthetic in every interaction, both in-store and online.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms, showcasing the boutique’s latest arrivals, promotions, and lifestyle content.
  • Keep clients engaged by promoting the brand’s unique offerings and using social media to attract new customers while nurturing current relationships.
  • Stay informed on current fashion trends, beauty services, and competitor offerings to ensure the boutique maintains a competitive edge in the market.
  • Represent By Maxwell at in-store events and off-site functions, helping to increase visibility and brand recognition within the community..

Operations 

  • Ensure the boutique and salon are consistently presented at the highest standards, maintaining impeccable cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising.
  • Monitor and maintain visual merchandising standards on a daily basis. Fold, straighten, fill in, and ensure correct placement of merchandise throughout the day.
  • Ensure representation of all merchandise, styles, and sizes are on the floor, creating a well-rounded and appealing display for clients.
  • Efficiently manage inventory and stock levels, ensuring products are always available and in prime condition for clients.
  • Assist with stock duties when needed, including processing shipments, markdowns, and transfers to keep inventory up-to-date and organized.
  • Process transactions with accuracy and handle cash register duties, including end-of-day reconciliation.
  • Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, assisting clients with product inquiries, appointment bookings, and salon services.
  • Book salon appointments, ensuring accurate scheduling and exceptional client service.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in social media management, in fashion or beauty industries a plus.
  • Experience with social media scheduling tools, analytics platforms, and content creation apps.
  • Strong understanding of social media trends, algorithms, and digital marketing.
  • Ability to multitask and handle both creative and administrative duties efficiently.
  • Comfortable with occasional errands and assisting with salon-specific requests.
  • Must have a positive, proactive, and adaptable attitude.


Required Skills

  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a strong ability to engage clients, understand their needs, and provide tailored recommendations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build lasting relationships and foster a welcoming environment.

Working Conditions

  • This role is based at our By Maxwell Boutique & Beauty Salon location, with a vibrant, fast-paced environment.
  • Standard schedule for this role are Monday to Saturday, 10AM - 7PM CST (Tuesdays & Sundays off), with occasional flexibility required for special events, promotions, or ad-hoc tasks.
  • Some tasks may involve running errands or assisting with salon-related needs, which could require time outside of traditional office duties.
  • The role may involve standing for extended periods, managing multiple tasks at once, and working closely with both the fashion boutique and beauty salon teams.
