Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with the preparation and review of real estate documents, including purchase agreements, leases, deeds, and title reports.
- Conduct title searches and due diligence for real estate transactions, identifying any potential issues that may arise.
- Assist in the closing process by preparing closing documents, and coordinating with buyers, sellers, lenders, and other parties involved.
- Draft and file legal documents related to real estate transactions, including contracts, amendments, and disclosures.
- Coordinate with clients, real estate agents, mortgage brokers, and other professionals to ensure all necessary documentation is provided and deadlines are met.
- Prepare and review documents related to commercial and residential leases, sales, and acquisitions.
- Assist in property zoning and land use matters, ensuring compliance with local and state regulations.
- Organize and maintain real estate files, keeping accurate records of all transactions and correspondence.
What We’re Looking For:
- A Paralegal Certificate or Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies (Bachelor’s degree a plus).
- At least 2 years of experience in real estate law, focusing on transactions, title work, and lease agreements.
- Strong knowledge of real estate documents and legal terminology.
- Proficiency with legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
