Level Recruiting is looking for a Senior Manager of Design and Engineering for a construction firm located in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is an excellent role for someone with a background in architecture and construction engineering and experience managing teams to ensure timely project delivery in a variety of locations. This company has a growing pipeline of work and opportunities to produce a high volume of projects.

Responsibilities :

• Build and manage a hybrid team of design, engineering and permitting professionals in local and remote locations including internal staff, consultants and outsourced contributors.
• Determine project-specific due diligence requirements.
• Find and develop digital tools for efficient design and permitting in a wide variety of locations.
• Create and maintain drawing templates and design standards.
• Supervise project administration.
• Assess methods to improve on processes and requirements.
• Design cost-effective, prefabrication-friendly construction details.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors Degree in Architecture or Engineering, or 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of building codes, permitting, project expenses, and contracts.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and accommodate a variety of communication styles.
• Strong team management experience and knowledge of design processes.

Preferred Skills :

• Revit or AutoCAD.
• Experience with BIM 360, GIS, and Procore.
• Familiarity with IBC and related codes.
• Knowledge of architectural or civil engineering principles.
• Experience designing and permitting solar and/or battery storage systems.

• $130,000-150,000 annual salary
