IT Systems Analyst (No C2C)
This is a contract position with the potential to become permanent. Therefore:
- (1) Candidates must be eligible to work permanently in the US.
We are seeking a Systems Analyst with experience in Oracle eBusiness Systems, specifically on the R12.2.10 on-premise release. The Analyst will work with minimal supervision and be responsible for providing support in developing and maintaining customizations and extensions for modules in Finance or Oracle Projects. The position will involve working with business users, participating in change management activities, and ensuring excellent service delivery and customer satisfaction. The role will also require collaboration with business users and teamwork within a large Oracle support group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide functional and limited technical support for Oracle eBusiness Systems Modules in Finance (AR, AP, GL, CM, FA, iExpense, iSupplier) and Projects (Costing, Billing, Accounting).
- Collaborate with customers to determine system specifications and business/technical requirements, and create spec documents to meet those needs.
- Troubleshoot issues, identify underlying causes, and recommend solutions or workarounds.
- Use diagnostic scripts, SQL, and other query tools to analyze data, create ad-hoc reports, and identify data integrity and constraint issues.
- Develop and implement data correction scripts to address defects caused by data inconsistencies.
- Lead conference room pilots and user acceptance testing for defect fixes, new features, and system improvements, ensuring that acceptance criteria are met.
- Complete required Change Management tasks and ensure compliance with relevant SOX control requirements (if applicable).
- Utilize industry-standard project management methodologies, tools, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Continuously acquire business knowledge from various resources (e.g., internet, books, workshops, conferences) to deliver effective business solutions.
- Track deliverables and provide regular reporting to management.
- Travel up to 10% as required.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university or 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- 3-5 years of experience working with and supporting Oracle eBusiness Modules, preferably in Finance and/or Oracle Projects.
- Proficient in reviewing and understanding programming logic used in Workflow, Apex, and BI Publisher Reports.
- At least 3 years of experience with SQL and PL/SQL.
- 3+ years of experience in Oracle Apex programming is preferred.
- Experience in a multi-developer team environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban) is a plus.
- Ability to clearly explain application behavior and current/future system states in user-friendly terms.
