Job Title: Drafter/Designer

Location: Mineral Wells, TX


Overview:

Our client provides innovative filtration solutions for the oil & gas, refining, power, chemical, and petrochemical industries. As engineers, problem-solvers, and manufacturers, the company partners with its customers to deliver optimized filtration solutions.


Position Overview:

The Drafter/Designer will be responsible for creating detailed assembly drawings and shop routings for vessels and related capital equipment. This role requires close collaboration with sales, shop personnel, and other team members to ensure that products are produced to specification.


Responsibilities:

  • Follow company drawing standards on all designs.
  • Utilize sales orders to create Customer, Approval, Certified, As Built, and Detailed Fabrication drawings from bid to shop construction.
  • Provide ASME Code Design Calculations and Travelers.
  • Create Part Numbers and Bills of Materials using various construction materials and system components.
  • Collaborate with sales and shop personnel to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Use AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks to design finished drawings of various vessels and attachments.
  • Design configurable-to-order products suited for scaling, standardization, and value-added engineering practices.
  • Develop custom (engineered-to-order) product designs as needed.
  • Create shop routing packets for fabrication.
  • Generate burning profiles for shop manufacturing of various parts.
  • Assist Junior Drafters as required.
  • Use software tools such as Compress, MS Excel, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SAP, and Adobe Acrobat to create required documentation.


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Drafter or Designer, with proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
  • High School Diploma or GED; AutoCAD/Drafting graduate from a technology school.
  • Experience with pressure vessel or piping design is required.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and analytical tools like MS Excel.
  • SAP experience is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to contribute as part of a team, performing tasks necessary to complete projects.
