Role Overview:
VP Operations will oversee daily business operations, including logistics, supply chain,
sales support, and inventory management. This role requires a strategic leader who can
streamline operations, ensure cross-departmental efficiency, and drive sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight:
? Develop and implement strategies for optimizing daily business operations.
? Lead logistics, inventory, and supply chain management to ensure timely delivery and
cost-efficiency.
? Oversee compliance with local, state, and international shipping regulations.
P&L Ownership:
? Partner with all departments to establish revenue targets and ensure alignment with
financial objectives.
? Lead initiatives to improve gross margin, incorporating financial insights into operational
strategies.
? Develop and monitor budgets, forecasting, and financial reports to guide decision-
making.
Strategic Financial Planning:
? Collaborate with leadership to set financial targets and evaluate investment opportunities.
? Oversee expense management, identifying areas for cost reduction and operational
efficiency.
Team Leadership:
? Mentor and manage cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative
culture.
? Align departmental goals with the company’s vision and strategic objectives.
Logistics and Supply Chain:
? Plan and track domestic/international shipments, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
? Negotiate supplier contracts and manage import/export documentation.
? Troubleshoot and resolve logistical challenges, maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Inventory and Distribution:
? Monitor inventory levels, manage stock distribution, and ensure order accuracy.
? Drive cost-saving initiatives and optimize warehouse operations.
Sales and Customer Support:
? Partner with the sales team to enhance client satisfaction and support business
development.
? Leverage data to improve sales operations and customer retention.
Technology and Reporting:
? Utilize software systems for data management, tracking shipments, and operational
improvements.
? Generate performance reports and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements:
? Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
(MBA preferred).
? 7+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management, with 3+
years in a leadership role.
? Proven track record of P&L management
? Strong understanding of inventory management, supplier negotiations, and regulatory
compliance.
? Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and implement process improvements.
? Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a data-driven approach.
? Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software.
? Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
