The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for providing improvement solutions for the production
tooling, equipment, and procedures in the facility to ensure efficient operations. This is a "hands-on" position requiring most of the time to be spent on the manufacturing floor and must be able to take projects from conception to completion.
- Oversees facility maintenance and manufacturing equipment maintenance.
- Problem solves in day-to-day production activities to eliminate ‘bottlenecks’ and keep
product flowing.
- Provides oversight and improvement of production tooling, equipment, and procedures;
i.e. ECO’s, SOP’s, Tracking, and Documentation.
- Must be able to work directly with production personnel to solve all production-related
issues.
- Implementation of new equipment and infrastructure in relation to manufacturing
activities and facility needs.
- Uses available resources to design and implement tooling and equipment for production
and daily operations.
- Contributes to manufacturing and facility layouts and process routing.
- Assist with identification of manufacturing issues and determination of true root cause
and permanent corrective and preventive actions.
- Participates in documenting ISO and TL 9001 processes.
- Reads and writes programs for applications
- Provides technical assistance with production equipment, process improvements and tool
calibration as required.
- Networks with suppliers and vendors when required.
- Supports Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety team to ensure and maintains
compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards of Quality.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering or 5-10 years
manufacturing experience in related field.
- Three to five years of ‘Solidworks or Inventor’ experience as well as:
- CAD and 2D drafting experience.
- Machine Code experience.
- CNC and Automation experience.
- ISO 9001 experience with process documentation and system audits
- Relevant industry experience in the manufacturing environment.
