Your new role
As a Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with Project Managers to oversee contracts, from tendering to completion, and ensuring their successful execution, including assisting with project scheduling, take-offs, procurement, and cost controls.
- Managing RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Monitoring, tracking, and analysing project performance metrics.
- Resolving on-site issues and gathering daily reports.
- Ensuring projects meet quality standards while being completed on time and within budget.
- Working with the commercial team to prepare technical quotations and supporting the Regional Business Manager.
- Travelling as needed to support tendering, project preparation, and on-site execution.
- Handling equipment logistics, maintenance, and improvement, including developing innovative designs for new and existing equipment.
As a Qualifying Individual (or Qualifier, or Responsible Managing Employee), your responsibilities will include:
- Exercising direct supervision and control of the Company’s construction operations in the USA, ensuring full compliance with state rules and regulations, as well as client and contractors licensing boards’ reporting requirements.
- Preparing for and sitting business, law, trade, or similar exams required for license acquisition.
- Managing applications for new licenses in states where the Company does not holds one, leveraging reciprocity agreements when possible.
- Periodically managing license renewal applications in all states where the Company hold a license, leveraging reciprocity agreements when possible.
- Conducting an annual review of all state requirements for contractor licenses.
- Managing communication with state contractors licensing boards, including submitting required notifications and responding to boards correspondence.
What you’ll need to succeed
- An american SSN (Social Security Number).
- 4+ years of experience in the construction industry, specializing in insulation (or a similar field).
- 1+ year of experience as a Qualifying Party (or equivalent) for a contractor license-holding company - or similar experience.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a construction-related field.
- A strong aptitude for technical tasks and complex coordination.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (especially Excel and Word). Familiarity with project management software like Asana or ClickUp is valued.
- Candidates must be local to the Houston, TX area.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive base salary ($70k - $90k, depending on your experience).
