Position Summary:

The Engineering Manager will lead and coordinate activities for designated projects to achieve goals within defined timelines and budgets. This role requires expertise in facility design and construction, contractor management, project management, and planning for estimates and schedules. The Engineering Manager will work closely with maintenance and operational teams to ensure optimal facility performance and efficiency.


Essential Job Functions:

To excel in this position, candidates must be able to perform these core functions effectively:

  • Evaluate project proposals to determine timelines, funding requirements, procedures, staffing needs, and resource allocation for project phases.
  • Develop work plans and assign staff for each project phase, ensuring resources, including consultants and contractors, are effectively allocated to maintain schedules and budgets.
  • Review project progress reports, update schedules or plans as necessary, and prepare detailed project updates for management. Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues and ensure project completion aligns with established procedures.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to the Maintenance Manager as needed, fostering strong collaboration with the maintenance team to apply appropriate support and skills.
  • Identify and implement new technologies and automation opportunities to enhance facility performance and efficiency. Promote a culture of continuous learning within the engineering team.
  • Build strong relationships across plant departments, gaining a thorough understanding of manufacturing, maintenance processes, and equipment operations.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with various departments to ensure clear understanding and action on relevant information.


Position Requirements:

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience : Management experience preferred.
