Buyers Products company, a leading manufacturer in the work truck industry, is searching for an EHS Manager to complement the skills and talents of our EHS team. The EHS Manager will work to strategically implement policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all the Buyers locations.

Primary Job Duties:

• Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks
• Develop and implement inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections
• Develop strategic direction on assigned Company remediation sites to reduce risks and costs
• Develop health and safety procedures for all areas of the company and monitor compliance
• Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
• Investigates all injuries and near misses to ensure root cause, containment and corrective actions are completed
• Perform site audits and lead efforts with management teams to implement corrective actions
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of existing and proposed environmental health and safety Federal and State regulations
• Responsible for training, developing, and mentoring the EHS team
• Ensure that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed
• Maintains records of discharge of employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Skills/ Experience:

• Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work and engage with all levels of stakeholders
• Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment preferred

Education Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental safety, occupational safety and health, or related field required, master’s degree preferred
• 7 plus years in an Environmental, Health and Safety role
• 3 plus years in a EHS Leadership role

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Mobility and dexterity to move around office settings including accessing file cabinets or storage and navigating to different workstations.
• Must be able to remain stationary for extended periods of time and engage in some repetitive motion.
• Standing, walking and sitting for extended periods of time.
• Mobility and dexterity to move around operating machinery and powered industrial equipment
