About the Role
The Category Management Analyst role will work collaboratively with the Senior Category Development Manager and Sales stakeholders to drive influence and results across Taylor Farms Deli categories at our customers. The CMA performs a valuable role in building a strong partnership with the customer by developing and implementing insight driven recommendations to grow their respective categories.

The role requires a highly motivated, self-driven problem solver with a keen ability at developing infrastructure & insights to bring-to-life business opportunities & solutions.
Ownership position in building and maintaining custom categories to address unique Deli category structure.
- Builds reports for various stakeholders according to desired specifications, while simultaneously focusing on ways to improve data mining, data integrity, and report automation.
- Displays strong communication and interpersonal abilities, coupled with effective problem-solving, conceptual thinking, quantitative, and analytical skills.
Utilizes Category Management tools (such as sales data, shopper panel data, and market insight tools) to develop best in class recommendations.
Pro-actively collaborates with Team Lead/Customer Business Managers on key business opportunities and provides actionable recommendations.
Develops in-depth subject matter expertise and stays abreast of current industry and business trends relevant to Taylor Farms Deli division.
Works with Product Management by providing category and consumer insights to support product innovation.
Works with cross functional team members on the long-term health of the portfolio and provides recommendations based on performance.
Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with BI platforms (Power BI), visualization tools a plus.
- Desired to have experience leveraging Category Management principles, Circana (IRI) POS data, NielsenIQ Canada POS data, and Circana shopper panel data. We will teach these skills if no prior experience with these data sets.
- Ability to manage large data sets. High level analytical capability.
- Educational background in an analytical field, such as data science, information technology, math, accounting, or business.
- Strong project management skills, and the demonstrated ability to manage multiple/concurrent projects within a rapidly evolving business environment.
- Strong time management, analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage work independently with short deadlines, and in a team environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
