The Choice is excited to partner with their long term client, a conversation non-profit to support a search for a 9 month Contract Coordinator. This position is part of their Corporate Partnerships department and it will support the day-to day tasks related to reviewing and executing agreements between the organization and their corporate partners.
We are seeking candidates with previous non-profit contract experience.
This is an immediate, full time (40 hour a week) 2 day hybrid schedule in DC. The contract is schedule to run through September 30th, 2025.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Track, review, and prioritize internal requests related to corporate partnership agreements between the organization and corporate supporters, such as cause marketing, commercial co-ventures, sponsorships, and licensing agreements.
- Direct and respond to internal inquiries regarding contract drafts and related processes, requirements, best practices, etc.
- Ensure contracts are compliant with applicable laws and regulations such as state charitable solicitation regulations, and include all necessary clauses and details, in coordination with the Senior Director
- Support creation and dissemination of standard operating procedures to assist staff in making decisions, problem-solving, and improving contract workflow efficiencies
- Coordinate with external legal counsel and additional third-party stakeholders as necessary
- Work closely with members of the Corporate Partnerships, Finance, and Database teams
- Other administrative activities: preparing regular status updates, updating and maintaining contract templates, and additional tasks as assigned
Required Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of experience in legal, administrative, project management, or similar area of work, preferably at a non-profit organization or within corporate philanthropy
- Relevant experience drafting, managing, reviewing or negotiating contracts related to corporate support of cause-driven organizations
- Understanding of non-profit/corporate partnership structures, such as sponsorship, cause-marketing, licensing, and thorough knowledge of related contract requirements
- Familiarity with legal, business, finance, and accounting terminology, particularly in the non-profit sector
- Experience with brand licensing and partnerships, IP rights and usage a plus
- Experience using Raiser’s Edge and general non-profit database operations a plus
- Experience in customer/client/donor service a plus
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of diplomacy
- Strong computer skills using MS Office
We are not seeking candidates with government procurement/contracting backgrounds. This is better suited for someone with previous expeirence in non-profit licensing corporate sponsorship contracts experience.
