We are looking to hire an Executive Director for one of our clients.
The Executive Director (ED) is responsible for leading and managing by overseeing operations, finances, programs, staff, and volunteers. The ED will drive strategic planning, program execution, fund management, communications, and coordinating key stakeholder relationships to achieve the organization's mission and goals. Their role is to drive the organization's success and make a positive impact in the community.
The Executive Director is also responsible for leading the organization in a way that furthers the name of Jesus by deploying His people and resources to meet the needs of the employees that they serve in a way that emphasizes being and making disciples.

MAJOR JOB COMPONENTS:
The percentage of time spent on each of these areas will change after the first 6-12 months:
- Leadership & Strategy: development, prioritization, and execution of strategic plans and initiatives in tandem with the Board of Directors

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Directly & Through Subordinates:
GENERAL
- Planning, organization, and directing the organization’s operations and programs
- Overseeing and reporting on the organization’s results for the board of directors
- Serve as the face of the organization and participate in external events to increase visibility, credibility, and market brand, and develop strategic partnerships to further increase community awareness and expand programs.
- Train and support stakeholders within the partnered organizations to understand how the nonprofit can support staff.
- Responsible for contributing to the overall mission of the nonprofit & following all Core Values.
- Perform other such tasks and assignments as directed by management/leadership of the organization.
SPECIFIC
- Development of the company's strategic and operational plans and budgets:
- Work with the Board to develop, rigorously evaluate, and prioritize key, strategic initiatives, goals, and plans
- Review strategies, plans, and budgets with the Board for approval
- Develop and effectively communicate strategic plans for key projects/initiatives including implementation of plans/timelines, milestones, deliverables, and budget recommendations
Manage and execute projects and initiatives:
- Track initiative progress (success/failure), prioritize, escalate, make mid-course corrections, and/or terminate, and effectively communicate initiative progress against plans to Board
- Successfully keep projects on time and within budget
- Ensure that services and funding are robust enough to meet or exceed strategic goals and
- objectives.
- Identify, develop, and coordinate relationships with strategic community partners
- Manage staff, operations, board meetings, and communications
- Facilitate executive-level meetings, coordinate schedules, prepare agendas, communicate with relevant parties, and ensure appropriate follow-up on key items
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles for nonprofit organizations with a minimum of 7 years of experience with a nonprofit organization and at least 2 years successfully managing or leading complex projects
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Public/Nonprofit Administration, or equivalent combination of related education and/or experience required
- Proven success working with a board of directors
- Experience in managing budgets
- Dynamic and charismatic team player who enjoys being the public face of an organization
- Ability to say “No” (gracefully and respectfully) when necessary
- Exceptional organizational abilities, excels at prioritizing well and anticipating future needs
- Successful track record in driving projects to completion and a strong drive for results
- Outstanding verbal, written, and “presentation” communication skills, including the ability to succinctly communicate critical priorities to a wide range of audiences
- Strong interpersonal and relational abilities in interacting with a wide variety of people
- Excellent analytical skills, with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
- Strong meeting and executive facilitation abilities
- Enjoys strategic thinking and provides approach/implementation recommendations for critical initiatives

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Works primarily out of the local office.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Prolonged sitting required, with the ability to operate office equipment which may include heavy lifting, bending, and standing.

- Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and client needs, and to make quick decisions and resource acquisition.
