We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Wastewater Manager to oversee the management and treatment of wastewater in our poultry processing facility. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with environmental regulations, optimize wastewater treatment processes, and implement best practices for sustainability. This role is critical in maintaining our commitment to environmental stewardship while supporting operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wastewater Treatment Oversight: Manage the daily operations of the wastewater treatment plant, ensuring effective treatment processes and compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding wastewater discharge and environmental impact.
• Process Optimization: Analyze wastewater treatment processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact.
• Data Management: Maintain accurate records of wastewater treatment operations, including flow rates, chemical usage, and laboratory results. Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor wastewater treatment staff, providing training and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
• Safety Protocols: Promote a culture of safety by ensuring adherence to safety protocols and procedures within the wastewater management team.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including production, quality assurance, and environmental health and safety, to align wastewater management practices with company goals.
• Project Management: Lead or assist in wastewater-related projects, such as upgrades to treatment facilities or the implementation of new technologies.

Qualifications:

• Wastewater License in MD
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in wastewater management, preferably in the poultry or food processing industry.
• Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, environmental regulations, and sustainability practices.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and wastewater management software.
