Our client, a leading innovator in satellite products and services, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Principal Product and Program Manager to join their aviation team. Location:
This role is on-site, with opportunities to work from either Germantown, MD or Lisle, IL offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and articulate a clear, actionable product vision and strategy for aviation solutions.
- Own and manage product roadmaps aligned with strategic goals, market trends, and customer feedback.
- Conduct market research and evaluate emerging technologies to ensure innovative and competitive offerings.
- Oversee product integration projects for both production-line installations and retrofit programs.
- Lead the development, certification, and launch of aviation systems, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, aircraft manufacturers, vendors, and partners, ensuring expectations are met.
- Identify risks in program execution and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and establish best practices within the organization.
- Manage program budgets, ensuring effective cost control and resource allocation.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of relevant work experience.
- Proven expertise in product development, roadmap management, or market research.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of the aviation product lifecycle, including research, design, testing, certification, and maintenance.
- Prior experience managing linefit and retrofit aviation programs.
- Strong knowledge of FAA/EASA STC processes.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
