Project Manager - Electrical Projects surrounding Capital Equipment
Key Responsibilities:
- Management and coordination of project development and execution
- Determination of project development and execution strategies such as contracting plan, material management plan and integrated project schedule
- Project team management and development of team members (i.e. maintenance, operations, safety)
- Utilization of the capital deployment process for project development and execution
- Manage and forecast project costs
- Ensure projects comply with regulatory requirements, plant engineering standards and equipment standards
- Compliance with Process safety, ergonomics, MSHA, ISO, environmental agencies, applicable codes and regulatory agencies
- Ensure projects comply with all applicable standards.
- Management of departmental record keeping and databases
Activities:
- Management and coordination of project development and execution including development of AFEs and evaluation of project’s economics
- Oversee management of change (MOC) process.
- Assist in performing root cause analysis’s (RCA’s).
- Determination of project development and execution strategies such as contracting plan, material management plan and integrated project schedule
- Utilization of the capital deployment process for project development and execution
- Manage and forecast project costs
- Participate in development and administration of capital plan
- Project management, including cost accountability.
- Collaboration amongst various departments across the site, including operations, maintenance, and support groups.
- Prepares design, drawings & specification documents.
- Prepares bid/request documents, addendums & change orders for procurement phase
- Direct interface with discipline engineers
- Coordinate and ensure projects comply with regulatory and code requirements.
- Project closure and accounting interface
- Support project systems.
- Support ISO efforts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
- Experience in Project Management - Electrical Projects surrounding Capital Equipment
- Experience with High Voltage/Power Systems in the Electrical Realm
- Engineer in training certificate or professional engineering license preferred.
