Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal Project Manager to work directly with our Chief Legal Officer to help support our team in providing exceptional legal services to our clients. The ideal candidate is a strong paralegal who is able to manage projects.


Duties Include:

  • Develop and manage project timelines for complex legal matters, including key milestones and deadlines.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, such as task lists, budgets, and status reports.
  • Track deadlines and action items, following up on outstanding tasks to ensure timely completion.
  • Identify potential roadblocks and proactively address issues to maintain project momentum.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks and projects in support of legal teams.
  • Assist in conducting legal research and compile relevant information for case preparation.
  • Assist in scheduling meetings, internally and with clients.
  • Assist in coordinating communication with clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, and internal legal team.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate client files.
  • Coordinate with Legal Teams and Forensics Team to organize/document expert file management.
  • Manage calendars and deadlines for Chief Legal Officer, involving internal meetings and legal matters.


Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required. A Paralegal certification and/or a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree would be a plus.


Experience:

  • 3-5 years of project management experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in the legal industry.


Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong telecommunication skills.
  • Empathetic, caring, and persuasive communication skills.
  • Fluency in the use of computer systems including email programs, internet usage, customer relationship management systems, and proven ability to apply computer skills to new systems.
  • Self-starter with the ability to effectively manage multiple matters at once.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Discretion and confidentiality.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Supervisors – Reports to the Chief Legal Officer.

Status – Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Location – Beautiful office environment at the Segerstrom Performing Arts Center, across from South Coast Plaza.

Salary – Starting at $75k, depending on experience.
