Company:

Logistics company is looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to oversee finance alongside their Controller. This person will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, preparing financial statements, analyzing variances, and providing KPI-driven insights for management and lenders. They will ensure reporting accuracy, maintain internal controls, support audits, and drive cost savings, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the monthly financial close process, ensuring timely reconciliations, accurate financial statements, and analysis of variances from budget or prior periods.
• Manage the production of annual budgets, forecasts, and quarterly reforecasts using a zero-based budgeting approach.
• Lead cash management and forecasting, including daily, weekly, and 13-week cash forecasts, while ensuring debt covenant compliance.
• Develop and implement financial models in Excel to anticipate cash flow needs and support decision-making.
• Establish and execute standardized SOPs, system consistency, and automation to enhance productivity within the financial function.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, maintain strong internal controls and policies, and support external audit and lender reporting requirements.
• Drive process improvement initiatives, leveraging robotics and automation tools to increase efficiency and data accuracy.
• Exhibit strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills while managing projects, change, and other assigned duties.

Qualifications

• BA in Accounting, CPA preferred
• Logistics experience
• Strong GAAP knowledge
• 5+ years of managerial experience
• Experience with General Ledger bookings, Month End Close process and Factoring
• Experience building dashboards & tools
