  • Collaborate in decision making for any significant system maintenance or construction work that may affect regional system reliability.
  • Assist the outage coordinators and operations engineers in day-to-day analysis for planned outages, and author or support the development of MISO Operating Guides and ATC operating documents.
  • Serve as a System Operations contact for stakeholders regarding system reliability.
  • Monitor accuracy and operational readiness of EMS applications and work with EMS staff to correct or improve these programs.
  • Review and approve, as required, new/revised equipment limits and EMS model, contingency definition and/or operations alarm set point changes.
  • Research and author ATC transmission operation procedures and other documentation as assigned.
  • Assist with or develop System Operations’ compliance documentation as assigned.
  • Develop and deliver System Operator training material as assigned.
  • Represent System Operations on ATC teams and ATC in regional forums such as MISO efforts, as requested by Manager, Reliability & Coordination.
  • Under the ATC Ready Program, may be called upon to serve before, during, and/or after an incident impacting ATC infrastructure, facilities, operations, systems, stakeholders and/or employees. Such event may require performing responsibilities that are outside those noted above and even include assignment to a specific incident response role or roles. Take personal accountability for ensuring preparedness for such service, especially if assigned a role.
  • Demonstrate compliance with ATC’s Code of Conduct, all company policies and procedures, and all laws and regulations that govern ATC.
  • Other duties as assigned.
